Someone in another thread made the comment about Photo Bombing Radio Shack with Pictures of our cars. Well I started it out.

I think the real photobomb here is in the driver's seat.

He's been with me since Day 1. These are from the day I picked up my DeLorean

Fine, I'll play:

Surprisingly enough, traffic in this strip mall area was busy enough to keep me from double parking and getting the same angle as the previous photos.

Good thread!

Extra points if you can get an ALF doll too.

Will a Hulkster headband be an OK substitute?

Or a Radio Shack Employee

Here is one of the employees. She was excited and when she saw the car she started giggling.

Believe it or not that young thing is the manager.25099

Try this again. Here is a photo of the manager who came out to see the car. She was really excited and was giggling.25107

Was this taken at the same time as the first photo or did you go back to get this picture today? Just noticing the guy on the bench and wondering if that is his usual spot :) If it was taken previously, that was amazing foresight that there would be a request for an employee photo!

Yes...but only if Dave S. goes with you and dresses as the Ultimate Warrior.

I know I have a couple of those Alf hand puppets that were a give away promotion back in the 80s. They're in storage somewhere. I may need to find one to put in the car. None of the Radio Shacks in my area are where I can pull up in front to take a photo. They're all in the middle of the drive between two larger stores so I can't stop there to take the photos.

When I stopped and ran across the street to take the photos everyone stopped and let me take the photos. I did NOT get one negative comment or "Hand Signal" :fu:

The only RS not in a mall around here is not in a good part of town so hand signals would be the least of my worry. I've nearly been hit by a few people not slowing down for someone in the crosswalk.

This is a great idea. Someone should have a 1980s-themed cruise-in at a RadioShack and photobomb everything. LOL

I'm actually considering using my Diamond Select BTTF Time Machine to do this until I have a real D.
Just need to shoot the toy from the right distance for the forced perspective. There happens to be a RS in a couple strip malls that could work well.

I actually thought about putting my HotWheels DeLorean inside the SunStar DeLorean inside my DeLorean and caption the picture "Yo, dawg..." (Old, I know.)

Not on topic, but I had to compliment you on your car- it's absolutely gorgeous. DMC Florida sure seems to track down the nicest DeLoreans in the world for resale.

Somewhat on topic- did y'all buy anything from the stores as a show of support? Or is everyone just photobombing Radio Shack corporate? Either way, it's good publicity for the DeLorean marque & Radio Shack both. :rock_on:

Re the D inside the D inside the D- we'd call that DeLoreanception..
And I buy stuff there all the time. My R2D2 build is featured on their DIY page.
