It was my 35th birthday last week. Not a big deal to anyone but my family and my girlfriend. I had hoped that it would pass with little effort needed by anyone as I was trying to get through a "once every four year" financial audit the company does at my hospitals. Anyway, my girlfriend asked me to pick up my cake here at Whole Foods in Seattle. No biggie, it was on the way home. I got there and asked for the cake under her name and they brought it out and showed it to me:

I thought it looked great and a Rocket Ship is right up my alley as I'm a huge fan of NASA and the Space Programs. I thought she did a good job!
When she got to my place and saw the cake, she was both upset and laughing at the same time. I had no idea why. Anyway I was told we couldn't eat the cake because it wasn't the one she ordered. I told her as long as it carrot cake it wouldn't matter to me if it had been transported upside down! So, today she came over after going back and having them remake the cake topper that she had asked them to make:

I thought they did a damn fine job on that DeLorean. She emailed this picture of my car that they based it off of:

I guess if you want a DeLorean and Private Jet on your cake you get the Cool Rocket Ship.

They did a very nice job on the cake. I have almost zero artistic abilities so I admire those who do.

Happy Birthday

I hit 35 a few weeks ago, and I'm already wondering if I can't drop a few hints for a DeLorean cake when I hit 40. Nicely done!

<Insert bad reference to when you hit 88>

<Insert slow joke about how long it took you to hit 35>

Sorry, your wording made me do it! :8ball:

Arnold lies. I'm getting my health in order now so that I can have some quality time with my grandkids. I always plan long-term.
