Hi everyone, new DeLorean owner here. Wanted to say Hi and I'm looking forward to learning about the car. I purchased it out of a garage in the Tampa FL area last week where it sat since approx. 2000 when the owner died. A friend was helping clean and clear out the house, saw the car under a cover and called me. I happened to be in FL at the time, drove over, made an offer and now it's mine. It's been moved out of that garage and is at business assoc work garage where it awaits transport to me in Connecticut. Has not run since it was parked prior to 2000. It sat on 4 flat tires which still hold air and will make it till it gets home where 4 new tires await. It shows only 2100 miles on the odometer but who knows if that true or not but regardless it's in great shape and will be a great addition to my collection of cars! It's already developed a coolant leak while awaiting transportation. I'll post a picture when I figure out how.. Hopefully someone will be able to tell me what it is. The car is in FL and I'm in CT so its hard to troubleshoot. Thanks in advance for your help and look forward to all the info I can get!!! Jim O25519

Maybe stating the obvious, but don't try and start it without a thorough fuel system cleaning and parts replacement.

Do not let them tow it backwards. Your louvres could get pulled up by the wind, and your new baby will sustain some hefty damage. Don't want to scare you - just make sure they flip the car so it's facing forward when you have it transported!

It's a gray interior with automatic. I collect John Deere farm tractors from the 20's and 30's and have about 14 cars from the teens through 60's but now have the 80's with the DeLorean!!

When you get it home replace:
Struts
Tires
Battery

Remove the fuel pump and clean the tank out. Flush out the brakes and fill and rebleed with Castrol DOT 4. Before having it moved get insurance on it.

I think I've got most of that covered and the car isn't even here yet!! LOL Got all new struts, new tires are here, got a new battery and got the filters. The family I bought the car from said the gas was drained when parked, no fuel smell from the filler so maybe it was drained. Planning on the brakes too!! Thanks, I can't wait to bring it back to life!!!!

Sweet, I love vintage Johnny poppers. I have a 52 model B myself. My favorite "Parade tractor" is a Round spoke GP. on rubber of coarse. I digress this not a 2 cylinder forum. :-)

Actually that is how Ferrari started, building tractors. One day he wanted to buy a Porsche and thought he could do better so he started making cars.

Enzo Ferrari never made tractors. Apparently he did use a Clutch in one of his cars that was also used in the Lamborgini tractor.

There is a Ferrari tractor company though but does not appear to have any ties to ENZO Ferrari. If it did they would mention it here
