I heard about this on the radio coming back from the grocery store. Very sad news about a very Talented man.
What I ended up reading, said that he passed after a 4 year illness.

Did not hear that on the news today here in Belgium, but it was in the paper.
Icon of the '80ies movies, Stripes, Ghostbusters, and he wrote Caddy shack.

Bill Murray did a shout out to Harold last night when he was presenting the list of great directors. That was pretty cool as they hadn't talked since Groundhog Day (from what I gathered), and it was very sentimental.
