Has anyone added an external trans filter?

Did some searching and didn't see any results. Has anyone added an external filter (such as ACDELCO Part # TF101M available at rockauto) to the auto transmission? Looks like it would fit nicely at the external line to the coolant pipe.

The problem with putting the filter externally is that any garbage is going to go through the pump before it gets caught in the filter. The external filter must be sized correctly because if it creates too much of a pressure drop the transmission will not work right. Do not size a filter by how *nicely* it looks.
