There is a nice DMC cameo in the video at the link above among other cool things.

I was scouring the community for a thread for this assuming that one had already gotten started. I am thinking that this could be fake but for what purpose? I looked into the DNS Info information and the site was registered today while they only have a 1 year domain subscription ending March 4, 2015. It is also registered to a Chinese address and business, which could also be phony as other information for the website is privacy protected. BUT, that privacy protection is expensive so it may be a real company with a lot of money.
Who knows..
Whoa!? What in the hell happened to my 1,400+ number of posts and my join date being in 2005? Blah....

Hype for the upcoming BTTF Musical? They had a number of musicians in the video.

Perhaps the great DMCTalk.com crash of 2011? I don't think anyone on the site has a join date earlier than May 2011 since then.

It's actually not expensive at all. Like $10 a year or something to keep all that registrant info private.

You may be right on that, I forgot that the musical was green lit. I had no idea that it crashed... makes sense for the new php upgrade.

D'oh! Very true, I was thinking about the 40 websites that we own and the registrant information related to each which is damn steep.

I didn't watch the video, but there's no way this is a real project. The dopey news media would wet themselves to cover a story like this if there was anything to it.

This might just be an elaborate set up for an April Fool punchline.
This might just be an elaborate set up for an April Fool punchline.
There has to be something significant with the choice of saying it would deliver in December 2014. I would guess that is when some announcement would be made, but then that would be stupid since they won't be able to hold people's interest for 10 months.
If their motives are to punk the media, there have been much better attempts in the past. If it weren't for the celebrity cameos, I would chalk this up as some college performance art project.
On so many levels, this is an amateur attempt, but the celebrity involvement gives it more points in that regard.
All I do know at this point is that whatever the pay off will be, it won't live up to the hype of speculation they are generating.
