View Full Version : DeLorean body design theory: has anyone else here considered this?

I'm looking at my car and I wonder if there could be something subliminal about the design of a DeLorean that makes guys so fascinated with it.

The reaction to the car is old news to you guys, but new to me. I've only pulled it on a trailer from one place to the other, but still impressed at how guys become almost mesmerized when they see it. I can imagine how it'll be this summer when I'm actually driving it. I even saw another DeLorean and became mesmerized myself before remembering I have one parked in my garage.

My other observation is that the women I've seen appear to be unaffected by the DeLorean tractor-beam (e.g. my wife, who barely noticed it.)
I think a woman who wants to attract men should skip the hair/makeup/expensive clothes, and just drive a DeLorean up & down the street....lol!

I think it's great, and wondering if anybody else here has thought the same thing.....

More on the tractor-beam philosophy:

This week the Schwan's guys were here; one was 60's+, the other was mid 20's.

My car is in my driveway and the older dude comes over, semi-circling the car and says: "I'm intrigued by your car....what is it?" I told him it's a DeLorean and he slowly started to recall the stainless, gullwing, etc.

The younger guy came over & knew exactly what it is (although the car is older then he is -haha!) He made several laps around the car & took some pictures.

-Tellin' ya...they somehow incorporated the figure of a woman into the design of the the car (like a Coke bottle or Fender Strat.)
