Plate for valley of death?

Hello, I seem to remember that someone (an Australian?) made a plate for the valley of death.
Can anyone remember who/where this info is? I think even there was a file available so that anyone could cut this to size.
The thin plate could be bolted Down so that it covered the two holes in the "V" and not letting them fill up with crud...

Good luck; Cliff Schmucker tried sealing a valley leak by filling with epoxy (didn't work ), machining a plate and drilling and tapping holes in the block then sealing the plate (didn't work), then tried welding the plate to the block (didn't work). In the end the block had to be replaced. Not saying it can't be done, just that it's certainly not easy (and that sand casted PRV engines are extremely difficult to weld in areas with large temperature and pressure fluctuations.

My objection to the "deflector/guard" scheme is that water etc. will get in there anyway, and then it has a much harder time getting out or evaporating. So if it's not a perfect seal, just clean it, leave it alone, and keep cleaning the valley on your periodic maintenance list of things to do. How often depends entirely on your driving conditions.

I would think the best way to prevent crud from getting in there is to secure the engine bay. Could try to put something like a screen covering the bottom to prevent leaves and other debris from being kicked up, then cover the engine cover. May want to provide some type of additional airflow to vent out Engine and Exhaust heat. But would be neat to see how that goes.
