I took a trip to Belfast on Saturday, mainly to visit David (DMCNI) and see his car that he got last year. The trip turned into something of a Delorean pilgrimage, as we called round to Dunmurry to see the factory (from a distance unfortunately) and JZD's old house, the Warren House. It was the first time I've actually been to the factory, it would have been nice to get onto the track, but sadly it wasn't possible. Roll on Eurofest!

After seeing the factory, David and I headed to the Ulster Transport Museum to see the 50k car and the Giugiaro wooden mockup; I'll put those pics in a separate post. On route we stopped by the Titanic Quarter for a look around. Pictured is the new visitors' centre and the old drawing offices. Also pictured is the Nomadic, a tender vessel for Titanic. Not looking too bad for a 100 year old ship!

The last photos are of David's car - black interior, auto, Vin 1780. The bodywork is in fantastic shape, the interior is excellent, just needs a little mechanical work! Can't wait to see it on the road!

Nice pictures Martin. Looks like you got a pretty decent day. I was down there over Christmas and it was a bit nippy. There was a big oil rig sitting in the neighboring docks for refurbishment but I think it's gone now.

The Titanic Quarter is surprisingly well done. Did you go out back and see the outlines of the two ships done in blue LEDs (Titanic & Oceanic)?

One day there will be a similar laser cut sign spelling DeLorean but it will be in Dunmurry and it will be cut out of stainless. (I hope)

Cheers Dermot, yeah we got a great day, but it was very windy by the docks! Was it a big orange rig? It was still there! Frickin' huge.
Funnily enough, we were discussing what you mentioned about the sign, David said he hopes we don't have to wait 100 years like Titanic did!

Oh we did see the outlines... took a second to realise what they were, but when you did, it was a surreal feeling.

Great wee day out visiting doing the DMC tour, glad you finally got to see the factory and the car Martin :)

It was my first time down at the Titanic centre on foot its a pretty impressive site....think this will be on the Eurofest list of things to see and do in 2016.

This could be the scene but with DMC's in 2016.

No problem, I'll just hop in the time machine... :-P
That last pic is great. And he also managed to get right up to the platform!
