View Full Version : Frame & Body Quick (prob dumb) question about outside window part.

The little rubber flap that is glued on between the outside window (the part that goes up and down) and the stainless of the car is something that can be bought at a autoparts store or do I have to buy that from a vendor? Mine is getting chipped up and dried out. Just trying to find the most affordable fix.

Bought it from DMCMW. It has three metal tabs that go into the door. Seems to me this is very specifically made for the car and not something "off the shelf" at the local auto store.

Yeah that looks like it. Darn I was hoping I could buy the material at an autoparts store. Anyone know if I have to remove the upper door trim to put it on?

Are these 30 year old rubber window seals or are they new? Mine is pretty brittle, how supple are the DMCH ones?

I replaced mine last year with ones from DMC-MW. Seemed to be pretty supple. Kinda of a bitch to get the old ones out (getting the clip to release) but after that installation is a breeze!
