How many times will we see the DeLorean in the same Top 10 list as the Pagani Huayra, Audi R8 and Ferrari F355?

The DMC-12 is #6 on the list.

Expand the accompanying photo on that page to appreciate a nice shot with decent depth-of-focus that pulls in the shifter of a grey-interior D nicely.

"Most DeLoreans came with a sluggish three-speed automatic, but those who went for the five-speed manual didn't regret it as it made that famously underpowered V6 much more lively. Simplicity at its best."

Yes, we all know that most DeLoreans actually came with the (now Most Beautiful) 5-speed, not the automatic...

So this isn't necessarily a performance thing, more aesthetics? I have always admired the simplicity of the DeLorean manual gear selector. Nice to see the car get some positive attention.

Excellent. I have to agree, Another nice factor about a shift is that most thieves today can not drive them so they never get stolen.

Just a thought

Once set up properly (adjustment, bushings, etc), the gear shift is fantastic and I think the best part of the DMC driving experience.

"most deloreans came with an awesome three-speed automatic, but those who settled for the five-speed manual didn't regret too much it as it made that famously underpowered v6 much more lively. Simplicity at its best."
