Any vinyl repair kit suggestions/experience? Repairing DeLorean Vinyl...

Hi guys! I'm starting to go through my car to take care of some detail work and have a questions concerning those vinyl repair kits (or alternate options?). There is a 1/2" puncture in the vinyl on the flat surface where my lower door trim panel piece closes against the rear interior quarter panel trim bolster (opposite surface of where most of us have those plastic bolster caps). Has anyone tried any of those vinyl repair kits? I did a fair amount or research and none of them seem to have a terrific rating. I was curious if anyone has tried any of these products in a D? Or are there any other options out there? Would a leather repair kit work on vinyl? Thanks!

Like the blow-in repair companies, there are also mobile companies that fix things such as vinyl, leather, etc. Contact a local car dealership and ask who they sublet their reconditioning/cosmetic repairs to.

I used a do it yourself kit from Walmart for about $10, it was made by Permatex or Loctite. Unfortunately I don't have a before picture anymore, but it was right at the top corner of the seat and not into the foam yet. it was about 2 inches long and maybe a quarter to three eighths of an inch wide.

The attached pic is the after and I'm really happy with the way it looks, now just to see how long it lasts & how durable it is.

Here are two more pictures I just took, one with a flash and one without. The tear was vertical and my fingers are at the ends. not perfect, but better than it was. If it lasts for 5 years I'm happy. If I were to go over the seats with a leather/vinyl protectant, it actually blends a little better like the previous post.
