Hello everyone!

I'm a long term DeLorean owner but I have been out of the community for some time as my D was in storage and rarely driven for a couple years. However now I finally have the time, money and garage space to give my DeLorean the attention it deserves.

I've been in the process of working on a list of projects but one has me totally stuck, my driver's side motor mount stud broke and I can't get it to move at all. So far I've tried soaking it in PB Blast, light heat and pressing it out using a c clamp with no luck whatsoever. Before I pull the half shaft and drill it out I wanted to see if anyone else who has run into this problem and how they fixed it.

Any insight / advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

We've drilled them. difficult to do accurately with the engine in the car.

Don't beat on it:
---the stud will expand and lock in even worse
---you'll break the ear off the engine.

Thanks for the info. The stud has been broken for almost 10 years, maybe I'd be better off to just leave it alone.

I had my engine apart so I took the lower crankcase to the machinist. You'll have to drill them out.
