What is the correct length of the water pump/alternator belt?
I believe mine may be too short (I want to install a turnbuckle instead of the alternator adjustment bracket) (I believe the alternator installed is a 105 amp motorola. It is from DMC CA)

Just realized you asked for the size, not the part number. Disregard.

It depends on the alternator you are running...or more specifically the pulley size. Some aftermarket alternators that are sold run a smaller pulley to help charge rate at idle. Some PO mods can have a smaller pulley on a DMC alternator, or even a complete alternator from a Saturn.

The pulley outside diameter is ~2.75".
It was purchased from DMC CA in Oct/Nov 2011. I *believe* it is a 105amp Motorola.

I have the same size diameter pulley on my DMC alternator. I'm running a 15495 belt which is 49.5" long. It's a little thinner than the factory belt so it's riding a bit lower in the groove than yours but it's never slipped. Both belts are due for a replacement before driving this year. I think the AC belt is the same size.
