I am in the process of finishing this product up. The stock units are obviously subjected to corrosion issues etc. Of course a better material has been utilized. Looking for feedback from owners on this though. Obviously we will offer the release handle in brushed stainless like everything else. Is there a market for a black anodized/other coating option as well? Open to suggests on this as you are the end users!

Josh , I was thinking the brushed stainless would look good against the dark interior of the car, that's just me tho. Any idea on cost and time of availability?

To be honest, I'd probably go with the original black look. My two cents.

My bar is in good shape so my opinion may not carry as much weight, but if I were to replace it I would also want to go with black.

Mine are in good shape (I re-painted them a couple of years ago) and I like the unobtrusiveness of the black color against the black floormats. Just my preference, I guess.

Stainless is a cool option... but if I actually needed to replace these I'd most likely want a black powder coated finish though.
Is "hot pink with little pictures of unicorns" an option? :)

Am I missing something here? Why on Earth would you ever want the seat adjustment bar to stand out?
My vote would be electronic seat adjustment so the bar isn't even there like my other cars - otherwise black!

as those attract too much dust down there from the carpet etc making cleaning a nightmare... as those also get very easily rusty from the screws coming through the bottom, I would prefer a dark gray with stainless fastening bolts and screws, or full :thumbup:stainless version
Or as Tillsy rightfully says if you are a Delorean performance industry go with an electronic upgrade:)

After a thorough media blasting, I re-finished mine with gloss black. I am pretty please with them. Not a huge visible component in my opinion.

I refinished mine in black. I have Black interior and wouldn't want it to stand out. -P

SS adjustment bars would be awesome. There are some areas inside that would be great in SS. The Escucheon (sp?) on the door and the center console buttons maybe that would keep them straight and even too!

+1 - we all agree that stainless is beautiful, but it has its place! :)
