Fitting Muffler to catalytic Converter Issue

Anyone know of an easy way to get the muffler to slide into the catalytic converter? I'm having a problem getting it to slide in. The heat shield assembly being on the muffler doesn't help but I need the assembly on soi can attach everything onto the engine.

You will need to remove the muffler to engine block mounting brackets and the heat shield between the muffler and crank pulley to have enough room to get the muffler to slid to the left then the right.

If you remove the engine block mounting brackets from the muffler, then fit the muffler to the cat, how do you then get the mounting brackets on and how do you hold up the muffler? Do you somehow prop up the muffler while installing the mounting brackets to it?
