View Full Version : Electrical Rheostat wiring

My D has all LED's, so the rheostat does not really 'function'. I say that with quote marks, because it's still needed to complete the circuit for the gauge lights.

I intend to remove the rheostat in order to make a space to put a cruise control controller.
From the wiring diagram, the red/white wire goes to the gauges, and the 4 red/orange lights go all over the place, to 7 other locations.

In order to bypass the rheostat, which wires should I just splice together?
If I just put them all together will that work? Or if I skip one will that affect the function of other things?

Splice all the wires together.
