So I removed my windshield for re-installation as the sealant was mostly let go and the door alignment was poor. After i peeled back the a-pillar covers I found a large crack. This would explain why the passenger side sagged so much.

I am following the jacking procedure for installinga new windshield but it still seems to be sagging to one side. Any pointers? I want to get it to the right position as I have a fiberglass guy coming to fix the crack.

Nothing that I can offer from experience, but if I were in your boat, and not knowing any better, I'd probably use the new windshield as the point of reference by constantly test fitting it - if one side was sagging, I'd get a second jack in there to prop up the sagging side as I'm test setting the windshield.

I could be completely wrong though, so best not to listen to me

Wow,....
Never heard of that before, is that not a serious construction issue, or a safety issue?
How could this happen?

Well Josh that was what I currently am thinking. Glad im not crazy and someone thinks its a good plan as well haha!

As for how it happened I have no idea. But this car has a very eventful past. I have had to put alot of money into these little surprises and it gets old fast. If I could go back I would have never bought this car, but then again if i wouldnt it would most likely be parted out.

I traced back the owners of my car back to 1999. He said It was freshly painted when he bought it but there were some weird observations. He noticed there was traces of sand in the interior and i later found ALL the panels were dented up including the bumpers. He contacted the PO and he would not answer anything about the happenings of the car. So he sold it and it died shorly after from a hole in the valley. We came to the speculation it was in a storm and it was possibly flooded and had debris fall on it, such as a tree. But who knows.

Sounds like your car went up in a twister man.

I'll be replacing mine soon. Who did you buy your windshield from? Was shipping outrageous?

The only place you can get them from is dmch. I paid 450 for the window and shipping was around 300. But I got it shipped to the boonies so it will probably be a little cheaper for you.

My a pillar has since been refiberglassed and fixed. The doors still dont close very well. I think the tub in its entirety is problematic.

Josh, I fixed a crack in my left rear pontoon back in 2012. My car also has had a bit of a checkered past. It was really not that difficult. I would use the new windshield as a point of reference to ensure you get it all aligned correctly.
