That car is worth 60k at least.

I was thinking more than that, as there appears to be at least $60k in Winn Dixie coupons in the car

No I did not but I can. Is it in the normal(lower left on WS)location like most cars? This car is in Florida City Fl. I'll go tomorrow and take more pics.
Dibs on the glovebox light.

It looks like there is another Delorean in front of it.

Yes, that's where it should be. The last 5 digits are all we need.
There is another larger one on the drivers side door jamb, but you would have to open the door to get that, so I wouldn't recommend that.

How did you do that?! I don't see anything in the pics supplied which would indicate it's location, e.g. street name, etc.
Impressive detective work :)

I think the car with the cement block on the trunk is an AMC Javelin. All I can go off of is the rear window and what looks to be a flat door opener. Very hard to tell. A picture from the side or more of the rear bumper would help.

I was thinking mercury cougar.
I don't understand how a DMC owner can leave his car in the street so many year and forgot about it???

Have you talk to the owner yet??? Maybe you could buy it cheap... I don't know; It looks like a nice project car, if you have the time and money to restore that DeLorean. I hate to see it sit there or go for parts, yeah know... I'm more afraid what lies under that "rear" hood. Hopefully it'll start, lol :dead:

ok went back today and knocked but no one was home. Spoke to next door nighbor and he says that its an old man that owns it and several people have approached him about it but he refuses to sell her. In fact says that the old man says he want to give the car to his son who is a mechanic. I got a few more pics including VIN. #02430

Agreed. Looks like a 1969 AMC Javelin. Tell-tale features are the vinyl top covered C-pillar that runs nearly all the way to the back of the car,
the flat door handle, the shape of the rear window, as well as the over-all profile of the car from that angle. Too big for same era Cougar.

Actually, it's a 1970 Javelin - the taillights give it away. In '69, the taillights slightly wrapped around onto the quarters, didn't have separating trim, and featured two reverse lights. In 1970, they were confined strictly to the rear end, and featured separating trim, distinguishing 5 separate zones, with the a single reverse light in the middle.

OP: nice job getting the pictures and info.
You know, it's better than I originally though - the frame looks pretty decent and the engine is at least complete. Interior is shot obviously - it looks like the drivers window is smashed rather than just down, which would make me think that the keys may have been lost at one point.
Here is what it looked like a few years ago, I presume when it was in Miami.

Using Google Maps historical streetview, this is the place back in March 2008. Car was sitting exactly the same then.

Plus it doesn't have the fender mounted antenna so they can't be the same car.

Looks like that plymouth laser that was out in front of the house back in 2008 is now in a more permanant home on the lawn.

Pose as a City inspector and tell them the car can't sit across the sidewalk like that since that is in direct violation. Then take the car and pretend it was "towed." The guy will either forget about the car and it's yours, or come to you to pay the "fine" and then you have the car, plus some spending cash!!!! :cool1:
