Review on RB Tech bearings from SpeacialTauto

For those who have used the Idler pulley bearings Hervey offers, the Blue ones, made by RB Tech, what do you think of them? Good quality so far??

I replace both pulley bearings with SpecialTAuto ones, been a year and still work great.

I want know what others think about the quality of it? Are they as good as they look?? I've seen some other different ones and don't seem as good as the RB Tech from Hervey/

I don't recall what brand I got from Hervey when I ordered new idler pulley bearings 3-4 years ago. I think he claimed they were SKF on the website but they ended up being some other comparable brand. They had brown seals. The color doesn't mean anything other than it sometimes makes it easier to identify the manufacturer. His claim about staying away from bearings with a black seal is a backhanded jab to his competitors... In reality no matter what you buy it is going to be better than the 30 year old squeaky bearings with dried up grease.

I haven't heard of people having to re-replace these bearings due to poor quality from any vendor...the parts are cheap anyway and easy to replace so if they ever get noisy again I'm not too concerned.

These things are available just about anywhere. Federal Mogul 202FF or SKF 6202-2RSJ. Be sure you get right size. 15mm x 35mm x 11mm. I haven't seen one in any other size - I just know there are different center-hole sizes with 6202.

And different seal designs. Don't even think about putting an unsealed bearing in there (unless you like to change them every couple months).
