I dare say that is the most unattractive color I have ever seen on a Delorean. The guy either has big balls, or we've found one of the few female owners.............

Gotta be a wrap.

It is.

It's the guy that has the white one and he got it wrapped for a music video.

There is a pic in the "Girls" thread with a nice girl on the fascia where it is pink.

I'm pretty sure it is wrapped.

Pretty sure it's not a wrap, but a plastic spray. Think I saw it on his Instagram somewhere.

Never met him, but if you judge solely by his Instagram pics, the dude doesn't care much about the car. I won't state my opinion but a pic will lead you to your own opinions. His Instagram is barrettinhollywood.

He goes through hoods like he goes through oil filters (not that he has changed the hood .... yet).

How would one do this if they wanted to (yes I am being serious). I have heard of the dip stuff but how hard is it to put on? How long does it last? Anyone have experience with it?

Google "plasti-dip your car". It's pretty wild what people are doing with this stuff. Not my taste, but . . .

I've seen this car up close, and I think it's been sprayed with Plasti-Dip, as other posters have mentioned.

I've used the stuff to replace cracked/faded hood stripes on my Mini. Very easy to work with, looks like it could be OEM, and after about 6 months, no problems.

I stand corrected on thinking it was wrapped. In my defense I didn't get up close to it but from across the street it definitely didn't look like a paint job. I had no idea people could plasti-dip a car.

I think with the progress in "covering cars" it's safe to assume it's sprayed plasti dip if it is a solid non-metallic color but if it is patterned/graphic/metallic then it's a wrap.

Maybe if it were still pink... :giggle:

(No, self, BAD! You're already going to have one more car than you have garage space for, don't even think about it!)

I've seen the ebay ad..Im guessing it coule never be brought back to stainless, given they closed up the marker light holes.

[I'm] guessing it [could] never be brought back to stainless, given they closed up the marker light holes.

Just speculating, but if the holes were closed with body filler instead of welded shut, how easy would it be to remove the body filler and get the holes back? It might be possible... but I don't know enough about painting and filling. Maybe someone else can chime in. I am curious.

Yep, if it is body filler, it can be drilled, then dremelled out pretty easily, I believe.

Yeah, hadnt considered filler for closing the hole...cant imagine it would be that stable though filling that big of a hole.

Haha... NGL, I'm starting to want one in every color now. If only I could get a 5-car garage that didn't come with a stupidly big and expensive house...
