The screws that hold in my headlamp finish (the little black upside down L shaped bracket between the headlights) are stripped, and I'm likely going to ruin them completely taking them out. Does anyone know where I can get this screw, and what type of screw it is? I can't find a reference to it anywhere on the DMC site. For reference, here is what the bracket itself looks like:

Are you talking about replacing the screws that are holding the headlamps in place? I was under the impression the finishing pieces were held in with two of these same screws on each side, i.e. the screw now serves two purposes... holding the headlamp in place AND holding the finishing piece in place.

They are long enough to take out (two of them), put the finishing piece in place, and then reinstall those two screws with the finishing piece now securely in place. The middle hole on the finishing piece only covers one screw and does not attach with it. That hole lets you access the screw behind whereas the other two are what's holding it together.

To clarify I took some pictures. Basically I just want to change my headlights, as some are burned out. I believe I need to remove the black headlamp finish, and the chrome bezel around the headlights to get them out. The DMC site shows the screw holding the chrome bezel in as an M8 screw. But it doesn't show what the screw holding the headlamp finish in is. I went ahead and removed one (that wasn't stripped/rusted terribly) and took a picture of it. I also took pictures of the two types of screws I think I have to remove to get the headlight out and marked them in the following pictures.

The front lighting page indicates there are 18 of those screws used in total, i.e. they are all the same.

So they are all M8 screws?

The screws are definitely not m8, they are much smaller

All 18 screws are the same, yes. Whether you can go into your local parts store and ask for 18 "M8" screws is another matter. I expect M8 is a bit of a placeholder on the webstore page and you'll need some other information like the length, head type, thread type or pitch, etc. to actually get what you need. Luckily you have at least one of these screws in decent enough shape and you could take that in with you and ask buddy behind the counter to get you a bag of them.

I think they are No.8 self tapping, which equates to 4mm in metric. They're about 10mm long or so.

I find that Ace Hardware in my area has the best selection of metric screws and nuts followed by Lowes followed by Home Depot. Othewise you can try and find a specialty fastener store in your area.

Is there a part on DMCH's site that corresponds to the correct screw? I just got the screw kit from DMCH here:

https://store.delorean.com/p-10214-exterior-screw-kit.aspx

Which includes this screw here:

https://store.delorean.com/p-6888-screw-m8.aspx

And it looks significantly shorter than the ones on my car.

FYI, a #8 fastener = 0.1640" nominal thread diameter, and pitch = 32 threads per inch.
