In anticipation of our planned 4000 mile road trip this fall, I bought a GoPro (Hero3, Black Edition). I knew it wasn't a "point and shoot" device, but I sure didn't know about all the things that were available if only my aged brain can learn them. My first problem ......how to best mount it in or on the DeLorean. I realize I can try various locations, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel. So, to those who have one of these...............please share where you found that it worked best. By that I mean, it didn't fall off, the pics or videos reflected what you eyes saw while driving, etc.

This old guy is bringing it to DCS, but that will simply be a practice run. Your input is greatly appreciated.

About the only place you can put it with the suction cup is on the glass. Most put it on the quarter glass. I was never one to trust a place that would wipe out the camera (and potentially cause a traffic accident) if that suction cup ever failed. I prefer hard mounts and that often means making one or buying a good clamp mount.

I purchased the tripod kit for mine, and mount it to whatever using a nano clamp:

This allows freedom to clamp it and move it whereever you want.

I also like the flex arms, but there kinda long at 26"

When driving at high speed I'd just tie a cord around the mount for my go pro and attach it to the car. That way if it let go you wouldn't damage the camera much or have to double back if even possible and search for what's left. I actually haven't used it with my D yet but I would think that mounting it to the back glass and pointing it straight out the windshield would be your best bet.

I found it doesn't hold on the back glass that well. The defroster wires interfere. I put mine either on the windshield or mounted on the driver's window up high and out of the way.

The first question would be what kind of specific action are you looking to capture with the camera?
