My Optima Red-top started releasing gas at an alarming rate a few months back, so it was promptly replaced with a new battery. Now, unfortunately for me I couldn't source a USA style replacement in the time I had, so I had to chop my terminals and fit a UK style battery...which has the posts reversed on the battery.
It's super-tight fitting in my battery compartment with having to cross over the cables, so I was hoping to take the cables back out of the tub, and switch the holes they go through. Should give me just enough wiggle room for seating the battery much nicer.
So my question is; The battery routing on my car is pretty tight between the frame and the tub, so is it possible to do this without separating the frame and tub?
