Inside the fuel tank...

I found these two:

The white/yellow plastic thing is bolted into the tank. I'm planning on installing the deloreango.com fuel pump replacement, that I got for my birthsday, but I can't figure out wether I need to remove or keep the plastic widget in the tank.

The brown disc-shaped thing was just laying loose inside the tank. I don't suppose that is worth keeping?

The thing bolted down is the fuel baffle. If the fuel pump you have looks like the original you need that. There are videos on YouTube that show how it works and how it goes together.

The brown thing I have never seen before.

At first glance the second item looks like its the bottom of the original sending unit but it appears too large. I am not sure what it is either, maybe someone added some sort of filter for the intake hose.

The brown thing is part of the inlet filter. Trash now.

For a modern pump everything is taken out except the grounding wire.

Nice to know - I got a replacement fuel pump in the old style, so it went in. :)
