A fellow member of TRAACA told me he found a DeLorean at the Hershey this past weekend. I was just wondering if its owner was active on this site.
My dad saw it and told me all about it. I was wondering the same thing (if it was anyone here). Someone else saw it too. Business cards on the windshield said Angelino Garcia from NJ and had a phone number.
In fact there were TWO Deloreans in the car corral. One was a dealer and the other had ZERO interest in the Internet or any Delorean clubs. On Friday there was also a Bricklin in the car corral. Just FYI both Deloreans were priced at $24K. In both instances I mentioned that the asking price was very ambitious, neither was a good representation of the Marque. $12-15K was probably closer to a fair price considering all of the work both of them would need to make them pretty and reliable. Both were late 81's with grooved hoods.

I kinda wish I'd done the Hershey this weekend. Just to see them. I opted to do the 1st annual Norfolk Fleet Fest Car show. It was a poorly organized event and initially I was placed in the "sports car" category. That woulda been fine had there not been a Concourse '68 Commaro three cars down from me. So the '99 Esprit and I shifted categories to the infamous "other" section with all the freak cars and thumpers.... As I predicted the Commaro won in its category, and won best over all to the tune of 800 bucks total. I was a little miffed. But, I guess it is what it is. I'll win one of these days.
The car corral where I saw the Deloreans is where people pay to put the car for 4 days to sell it. The "show field" on Saturday is where you go to show the car and have it judged. Many cars in the car corral are not in the best condition as opposed to the show field where everyone makes a special effort to make the car look as pretty as possible. There is NO WAY to compare Hershey to ANY other car show in the world! Since the weather was so spectacular there was no excuse for not going unless you had a funeral to go to and it was your own!
