Oh, shitty!! Sorry to see that man. I guess you made it home ok? How did the spare hold up?

Pretty good, kept it under 55mph all the way home. Since my car is lowered so much I had to have two guys help lift up the car just so I could slide the jack under the car, the pontoon floor was just 1/2 off the ground.
Reinstalled my glove box lid after having it signed, then took my 4yr old daughter on a cruise....she loves that car!
The weekend ended up being a good time to work on the car. Funny how you build up this list of things to do on the vehicle but never find the time to do it. Then put yourself 3,400 km away from it for four months and all you want is to be able to get working on them. Here's a couple things I was working on:
- Adjusted throttle spool to lever arm linkage to remove some slack and help the butterfly valves spring back to position zero at idle. Likely still need to go back in and remove the whole assembly and grease the pivoting point of the butterfly valves.
- Added the four snap rings that were part of the deice recall kit to the throttle spool post, thus ensuring the spring end stays in position.
- Confirmed my vacuum hoses were routed properly and the idle micro switch wiring connectors were snug and clean. In the process, realized the vacuum solenoid wiring connector had one of the wires backed down out of the connector and wasn't getting the 12V to the solenoid. Fixed the connector and the solenoid started working again.
- Confirmed my front suspension had already had the front end recall castle nuts and cotter pins installed. (Something I pondered from 3 provinces over and couldn't confirm with the pictures I had with me until I got home and looked first hand). Also confirmed both front wheels had their dust shields installed, another item I read about from another owner and wanted to double check.
- Installed a new dust cap on the angle drive cable end. Paid special attention to ensuring the hole was lining up correctly with the cable as it snapped in place. Made sure the lower speedo cable was lining up well at it's connection too. Then proceeded to put the first 13 miles on the car that actually registered on the odometer in over a year. Yippey!!
- Installed front brake anti-rattle clips. It helped with the "clicking" noise, but ultimately I believe one of the pistons is sticking on the front left brake and to fix it will mean a caliper rebuild of the front pair.
- Installed new door struts. These were the Stabilus ones with the dampening technology. Vast improvement over the ones I had and my doors are opening much better now on their own.
- Working on snapping in the wiper delay module bracket into it's correct home. I don't want to steal Dave's thunder by posting this here, but when I was at MidWest last week, we were looking around and when we had the wiper delay module bracket in hand, and saw a pedals assembly on the floor, Dave took a picture of how the bracket is supposed to cleverly snap right in there (there are clips on it in certain places to do this). Mine just dangles down in a wiring mess sort of like something C3-P0 would be trying to fix on the Falcon. I didn't realize this is where it was supposed to go. I got up in the footwell and saw that there is a chunk of air ducting plastic in the way so I need to figure out how to sneak it into position, but I thought a few others here might get some use out of seeing the picture.
