Okay makes sense. I think I will save the relay for another project. I plan on installing led lights in the HVAC panel.
Anyone know what bulb number I need to look for? Something on Amazon?

My new vent duct adapters showed up. I was surprised to discover that they are made from flexible material.
I thought that 3D printed parts were only available in hard plastic. It seems well designed and well built.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8eceb59080.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f42da561ed.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f75a04f529.jpg

Health update for those interested-
A while back I pushed for a full panel of testing for tick-borne disease. Everything came back negative except for one thing (sorry I forget the details) that basically showed that at some point in the past, my body fought Lyme disease. My doctor gave me the option of taking antibiotics (Doxycycline) "Just in case" I decided to go for it.
Since taking the Doxycycline (three-week treatment) I have seen a lot of improvement. I have also been doing a lot of focused physical therapy and work outs and have a lot of people praying and encouraging me. So who knows which things or things is working but something has changed. I can walk better, use my left arm and hand better, I have depth perception again, less brain fog, etc.
I am still taking Primidone twice a day and when I get close to my next dose my symptoms get pretty bad. Tremors, shoulder stiffness and pain, etc. So I need to ask the neurologist about that. Basically if I have these symptoms still and when I take the Primidone they go away what does that mean?
I have an appointment with the neurologist this week.

Bill,
Thanks for your health update. I will keep good thoughts for you and hope they can get everything figured out for you.
P.S.
Every time I see your work bench in the pictures it makes me think of all the history and stories it has.
It has lots of character. Probably some stories you cannot repeat too.
Tam had a 25k trail race in the rain and mud today. She got 2nd place in her age group.

After lunch we worked on the car from 3:30-7:30.
We could avoid it no longer...it was time to attempt to install the HVAC system. I knew this wouldn't be fun and it wasn't. We wrestled with trying to get the heating core tubes and evaporator tubes through the rubber boot. This was a nightmare. It seems like there must have been a better way to design this part of the car.

Eventually we got the HVAC box in place. I installed the washers, lock washers, and nuts inside the blower compartment.

Tam realize that with all my pushing from inside the pipes had pushed the rubber boot off from the metal plate on the tub. We spent the next hour taking turns yelling and complaining trying to get that boot back on. Eventually, we got it back in place.
Tam put a new gasket on one of the duct pieces.

I noticed the condensate drain tube was crushed so I took a pick and managed to get it back onto the nipple on the HVAC box.

A lot of owners remove this plastic elbow and install a vinyl tube directly onto the nipple. The claimed reason for doing this is because people have had debris get caught in the elbow. I decided to keep the elbow. Mostly because I know everything in the HVAC system is squeaky clean and we have a screen to stop debris from getting in. Also I worry that a straight tube bent to connect may kink over time.
The last thing I did was install the blower motor. When I went to install the power connector (new F.M. spade connector) the connection bent. I bent it back and it snapped off. Ugh.....[emoji19]
So now i guess we need a new blower motor. [emoji849]

Thanks
Yeah it sure does. Before I had my shop it was in my garden shed for years and it almost got thrown out. I am glad I made an effort to keep it.
It got used well at Cooper Arrow Hart manufacturing for many years. My guess is since the 50s.

Happy Memorial Day. Thank you to those who have served this great country. [emoji631]
Today we got Ole Reliable out of storage. It might not be a super cool Delorean but we hardly ever have to work on it and with all the mods we've done we have maybe $10k into it including buying the car. Cheap fun. We rode out to the shop with the top down and the dogs with their faces in the wind.
We worked on the car for 3 hours.

The first thing I did is traced out the wiring that we missed passing through the rubber boot for the AC coil. My hunch and hope is that it was wiring for the AC high pressure switch. I was right. The system I bought from D-Ind doesn't incorporate a high pressure switch into the system so I removed the wiring from the car, cut the wires near the connector, and used it to make a jumper under the dash.

We need to start thinking about the entire HVAC system. I am trying to figure out what type and how much oil I will need to add to the system.
Found some interesting information in the manual also.

We moved on to the parking brake.
Tam cleaned up the brake lever.
We installed the bracket onto the car body.

I put silicone around the studs to seal any water out.
