Not necessarily in the dash... Could be any number of the ground locations. Mine was behind the rear bulkhead.

Temp Gauge issues

Its Rodney from the Club. I am having this problem also. When I tap on the binnacle the gauge sometimes starts working again. Where exactly are the bulk head connectors? Should I pull the binnacle? Thanks Rod

Bulkhead connectors are the many connectors beside the the ignition coil. Anytime you have problems related to engine electrics, remove and reinstall those bulkhead connectors just to see if that fixes the problem.
