Pulled the center console so I could remove the switch mounting plate. Installed my lighter LED and hot glued all the switches in except the defrost switch (that one still has original connector). Drove me nuts when the switches would move.
Need to wire up the LED and put it all back tomorrow.
Went for a drive in the foothills on the twisty roads, the trees are just starting to change color. It was a beautiful thing.

Got my lighter LEDs wired. It looks perfect looking straight down on the lighter but looking at the side it's to bright and I see each LED. I'm going to try painting the metal part of the lighter flat black and see it that helps. I think the LEDs are reflecting off the metal.
By the way, that hot glue is not to bad to remove. You heat it up with a soldering iron and then pick it away. It also bonds very good when it's cold.
Found out that I need a 5/16 Tool to access all fluids on the D. At least I now know that the Final Drive needs to be looked at as well as all the other fluid levels.
Installed the spring in the fuel pick-up hose.
Reconnected the wiring to the door light plungers only to realize my doors still don't close well enough to shut the lights off with the doors "closed". Thinking I need something extra in there to fill the gap to get them to shut off. Also realized the door buzzer doesn't shut up even after pushing in the plunger. Might be shot but didn't realize it cause once upon a time my wiper delay board wasn't plugged in. Maybe that was why!! Haha
