Kinda New Member Thought I post some of my Delorean.

This is the Delorean that I got from its first owner (was my father).
I was probably the last person to drive this car in 2002 and was stored in a Barn until my brother and I pulled it out. A couple of months ago.

I have some way to go to get it back into a running and driving vehicle. But I'm happy to do it for myself and my dad.

After home and a good 18 year plus wash. Still some way to go but hope to have it finished by spring of 2021.

I like this story. Welcome!

It looks terrific. Good luck on getting her running.

Keep us posted on the progress. Looks like an '83? 5 speed?

lol that abrn was tiny! So awesome, plenty of info on here if you need elp getting it going. IMO first things first get that entire fuel system, and gas tank cleaned out before you even try to start

Sorry, should have put that it is a 1982 5-Speed. About 11K miles.

Today my son and I are taking the old fuel pump/sending unit out. Cleaning out the tank and pumping new gas through the fuel lines, just to clean them. Then we will put the new Delorean GM Fuel pump in.

I also hope to take the intake off to look at the engine valley. And maybe do full maintenance on it.

Here is an interior shot must not have taken to many.

This was the first time my 1982 Delorean DMC-12 was turned over in over 18 years. My son and I just cleaned the fuel tank out and changed the oil and filter. We have not put the new Fuel pump/Sending unit in yet, so it would not start anyways. We have been working with my Brother, Brother in Law and a friend that is great mechanic.

Here is a video of the Fuel tank we cleaned. We cleaned it one more time after this video. It really came out good I thought.

Yes. My back ground is German and Hungarian.

My Dad put the Turbo sticker on the Delorean back in the 80s. I’m having a hard time taking it off. Or maybe I will turbo it. I don’t know. :)

Really nice story, it's really cool to keep the car in the family.

So this last weekend wasn't as productive of a weekend. But my son and I put in the DMC LED lights in the doors.
And my daughter came by to take a look at the car and ask if she can drive it because it has a manual transmission.

She was so adamant about not having a manual car and now that she knows how to drive one wants to drive them all the time.:rofl:
I think she likes it because all the kids at school, now know she can drive a manual she seen as a "Car Girl", I guess.

So this is the first time my Delorean ran on its own. This is after we changed all the fuel distributor fuel lines.

Also changed out the fuel filter, it was a pain in the butt, it was the original fuel filter. There is another video I will also post.
