Curious Case of 4921

Does anyone know anything about this car?
It sold at Mecum Dallas in Nov 2016 for $20k (https://www.mecum.com/lots/DA1116-27...lorean-dmc-12/).
Then it sold one month later for $2k less at Mecum Kansas City in Dec 2016 for $18k (https://www.mecum.com/lots/KD1216-27...lorean-dmc-12/).
Now it's heading back on the block at Mecum Indy next month (https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0518-32...lorean-dmc-12/).
It seems like two different buyers may have tried to either flip it or fix it and were met with more surprises than they expected. ??

Crosses the block today. Curious to see what happens...
