With the T panel removed and the door vertical, you can slowly release the tension and the bracket will stop rotating just short off the rear glass. Then the bracket will just slide off easy.

Look at this photo of the DMCH pump. Probably if the pump had the flat side on the rear it would clear. Now is that pump sitting rotated how it has to be to clear the closing plate?

The fuel pump filter would take care of that. Some of the all in one pumps put it on the outside at the bottom. Most put it inside at the bottom. It's a very fine filter.
