You could try black paint around the walls of the push buttons.
Your not the only one that the light bleed bothered. Looks like I need to do something with the push button decals now.
Yes the old format was nice. I went to four of them. If it's located to far that year just wait another two years. I did go to the one in Florida taking the auto train. That was kind of a fun...
Here it is with the pump installed. I used a 3D printed top hold down plate that is 0.125" inch thick ABS. It does seem strong enough and much less work than making that plate out of metal.
When...
It works great. Ring has one cut and it just snaps over the tank ridge. Simple hose clamp really locks it in place. Hose clamp bought at ACE hardware.
The splines are twisting a little. I never thought that could happen but when all the torque was off the bracket, it just slipped out with your fingers. It may help if your hex tool fits tighter. ...
The problem is doing it the conventional way. You have someone holding the counteracting torque while you pull the bracket off to rotate is one notch is you can't pull the bracket. The torque...
I only opened vertical. So a long support pole to keep it from closing. I did this all alone.
Yes I have done it on both doors. I think I'm the original owner that posted this first. I did this about 20 years ago after the group at a tech event could not get the bracket off. They even...
With the T panel removed and the door vertical, you can slowly release the tension and the bracket will stop rotating just short off the rear glass. Then the bracket will just slide off easy.
I printed that top plate with ABS. Testing both, it looks like the ABS is very slightly more flexible than PLA. I haven't done a break test yet but they say ABS is stronger.
I did however think...
I 3D printed the top ring at 0.125" thick and I think it will be strong enough rather then make one in metal. I will look if I can make it thicker when I rework my original attempt. These are...
I'm convinced this is the way to go. It will wait till I get a chance to replace my glued one. I ordered at T- bolt clamp the for the new one and I have a new 3D printed ring ready to go.
I...
I just thought of another way to do the clamp. Could probably get enough flex with the 3D printed ring, so cut a slot so you can clamp it under the ridge. Could probably use a normal hose clamp for...
Here is the finished clamp installed. It should give you a little more clearance since the pump is clamped all the way down.
Here is what I have designed right now. Still always thinking about changes. But it looks like this will work. Just a 3D printed ring with 4 holes to press in 8-32 rivet nuts. This ring sits a...

Look at this photo of the DMCH pump. Probably if the pump had the flat side on the rear it would clear. Now is that pump sitting rotated how it has to be to clear the closing plate?
The fuel pump filter would take care of that. Some of the all in one pumps put it on the outside at the bottom. Most put it inside at the bottom. It's a very fine filter.
Yes an original or vendor copy of the original sender is wired directly to the fuel gauge. No ECU is required. The problem with that setup is the gauge will move a lot when going up or down hills...
I recently was helping another owner installing an all in one fuel pump. His pump was a GM MU1777. That pump functions fine but getting the float for the fuel sender to clear the tank walls is a...
Here goes. Changing my password. If I don't come right back and edit this post then it did not work.
It worked. I'm back to stay.
Thanks to all that have helped me get back in. This is my first post in many weeks.
Now I fear the same will happen when I change my password.
Did you move the door switch wires? My guess would be you have the key in wire connected to the wrong door switch.
Most of the time it is the flex circuit has lifted copper where the connectors mate.
Battery voltage for the gauge goes to the seat belt warning and door ajar warning lights. If those work your + voltage is getting into the binnacle.
Ground for voltage gauge is shared with left...
