I kind of lost the plot after what you said here, but are you aware the switch base is slotted so it can move fore and aft? This can take up the slack to the open position.
It seems like a very straightforward repair if you've done automotive repair work. You're second question is a bit concerning.
(I would have to go out to the garage and take a better look at how...
Yes, a file removes the high spots. I think you only have about 0.030" to work with. But, if you're asking what a file does, I think we're going to run into problems well before that comes up. :hmm:
Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone could tell me (ballpark) the thickness of the rearmost interior board/bulkhead board that covers the firewall. Parts diagrams seem to overlook it.
Just wondering...
Assembled yesterday with thinner foam. We're good, thanks guys.
Yeah I assumed that may have been the thought (or a secondary thought). I'll just use some strips that fit better. Thanks
Hey guys,
I was just installing this new rear screen finisher which came with 3 'cushioning strips' (which seem like they have 40 year old adhesive on them.)
Did anyone forgo them? Or use...
No need for 'hivemind'. Ctrl-F the color codes of the wires on the wiring diagram. Sometimes there are a few variations that are easily decipherable.
Oh I know!
That is the old 4.3 you are referring to. I believe with a SBC pattern. You could mate that up to anything. I believe only iron blocked. OP is talking about the LVx engines which have the LT...
Start with the basics. Generally, when you can shift with the car off, but not with the car running, the clutch isn't disengaging enough.
I just used a normal crimper? YMMV

I believe Redtek 12a is just propane (or a similar hydrocarbon). Since you need a license for r134a in Canada, Redtek 12a is just what all the parts stores sell (whereas in the US, you can just buy...
Just a standard DA sander with aggressive paper is what I used.
Thanks guys, got my answer (difficult when the car comes in boxes with nothing to compare to).
Thanks again.
Hi Rich, thanks for the reply. Maybe you linked the wrong thread, that one is just someone asking what the water valve does?
Thanks!
Hey guys, trying to sort out the routing of these 2 vacuum lines but could use some clarification.
Regarding the heater core valve, a member here posted a youtube video showing that the vacuum...
Yes, the sending units are m14x1.25, at least the one I bought from DeLoreanGo was.
Thanks. Actually I had run a similar test to see if I could use any of the tens of sensors I have kicking around here. I was holding the water at approximately 190 and trying different senders to see...
Thanks gents! Do we know if the DMC sending unit reads 'ok', or is it an identical unit (to DGo)?
Any difference between the two, or 6 of one...? DGo's says their sending unit is made by DeLorean Europe, DMC doesn't specify. Same with the coolant pipes (Although DMC says theirs is a mix of NOS...
As Ramblin said.... No. Also, I have a hunch your selection of adapter plates will be limited.
Sure, because that is the worst case scenario that happens if you lose a brake line.
