If you still have the door lock silinoids you can switch them out for actuators. Dumping the weight can help. Most need to detorque the torsion bars after its done. I did.

Melting of fuse 7 is a very common problem. I've also had this problem. There are many things in this loop that can cause the heat. Most common is corroded pins and certain items like the fuel pump...

Ya it disappeared quite a while ago. I remember someone posted pics on Instagram shortly after. Hopefully it's safe and someday someone can recover it.

In Minnesota if you have collector or any other of the plates they have for older cars you don't have to put on the one for the front. All the other regular plates you do.

Simple answer. No it's not going to be cold. Just connect the hoses at the engine until your ready to put the heater core in the loop. This is a very common thing to do.
