Did you change out the otterstat too? I know some of the new ones are calibrated to a different on/off temperature (i.e. higher than the old ones). Might be a new calibration on the thermostats...
Thanks. Wanting to flush out every last drop of what is in there and replace with new.
How much Dot 4 brake fluid is used in the braking system? Including a full reservoir, brake master cylinder and all four lines running out to each caliper?
When you are trying to get the end of the hose that connects to the cooler together, pay close attention to the two ends being aligned well with no tension trying to pull it over to one side. If you...
I didn't read in detail all of the previous comments, but another random thing I've encountered on our cars is the air filter housing impeding the smooth movement of the air/fuel plate. I have found...
Bad gas? When was the last time you filled-up? Maybe your local gas station gave you half a tank of water with your gas.
What have I done to my DeLorean today? Absolutely nothing. Weather is still crummy here.
What I did do though was watch Predator from 1987. Classic Arnold... "get to the chopper!" What I...
Ok, wow. I didn't know that how-to was there. Great, thanks, very helpful.
I got my car in 2007 and it came to me with headliners that were pretty much fine throughout and not sagging or torn. ...
I did mention replacing the hoses, you just didn't see that apparently.
My reason for being hesitant with replacing them is because of the condition of the fasteners holding them in. Most of the...
I'm going to redo the headliner in my car. It is a black interior, September '81 car.
I was planning on getting the headliner material at an eBay seller like this one:...
Thanks. The "bed in" thing is part of what I wanted to understand. And good call on the "just because" as that's 90% the reason I would change them. I bought the rotors when I had the chance to in...
Thanks for that on the front bearings. I had forgotten about that, but must have had someone mention it at some point because I have a pair of those bearings in the box already.
Here is my parts...
Well, Spring has not quite sprung here in southern Ontario, but I'm just about done with the winter weather and am looking towards car season.
With that in mind, I have brand new rotors for all...

Sounds electrical to me too, but that's just a guess.
You also say it was running fine, so I would normally say that it couldn't be a spark plug wire or vacuum hose connected to the wrong spot,...
Wow, no kidding. I had a sneaking suspicion I was light on my total. I hadn't realized there were six on each side though. I got thinking it was two on each side plus the seven in the middle. I...
If I'm not mistaken, there are nine places where those threaded studs go. Seven of them in the centre of the fascia that secure the lower edge of this support strip...
This video is really, really good. I watched it a few days ago and was very impressed. Good job to Tamir and all the others that had a hand in producing it.
You can try to move that front striker pin up a little so that the door doesn't go so far down when it closes. When the latch pulls itself into the second lock position, it's going too far. Make...
Beauty, thanks. Sounds simple. Now getting the rest of the A/C system up to par is another matter...
Just curious, as I have new replacement bearings for my own idler pulleys... how did you remove the old bearings and then install the new ones? And I mean did you need any special tools or presses...
You can check the idle speed microswitch and make sure it is getting engaged properly by the lever arm on the throttle spool. While those set screws likely haven't moved, the spring can get gummed...
Auto trans fluid cooler pipe (just a coolant pipe on manuals, but is a little heat exchanger between ATF and coolant on the autos. You'll need the pipe, bracket and connection hoses if they aren't...
