For me...
It's the same on an auto.
The original hex bolts are easy to remove but take a while to tighten since there is only enough space to get an open-ended wrench on them. I replaced them with this,...
I've been following this absurdity for a while now (it's a train wreck I can't look away!) I really think this guy is screaming for professional help; it's one thing to pretend to be JZD's son online...
I will probably end up using some type of alternative to the hard line routed slightly differently to the way it is. I'm not concerned with originality here just need a leak free connection.
I was just looking through some plumbing stuff I have laying around and a 3/8" compression nut on a toilet fill line fits like a glove. Wonder if the 7/8" end will fit on a fuel filter :hysterical: ...
You really think 106989 can be replaced without separating the body? I'm not confident I have the skill to pull that off but maybe I will have to try.
Jonathan posted DMCMW sold him a flexible...
This is exactly what I need! As much as I dislike making phone calls I will be asking around to see if anyone can supply me with one of these. Thanks for letting me know these exist at all.
Yeah...
Alright thanks for the info.
10287 began having hot start troubles in early June. I ordered and installed a new accumulator but the line from the accumulator to the filter appears to be leaking (#30...
Question: Where did you get your braided line from? I believe my rear feed hard line is leaking (#30 https://store.delorean.com/parts/fuel-emissions/2-1-0-tank-hoses-pump-accumulator-etc.html) and it...
Truth!!
Congratulations, so happy to hear you won your battle!
Maybe you just need to clean the frequency valve, a cotton swab should do just fine.
Welcome back to the open road!!
Fascinating read, thank you so much for posting
How does the plastic shield under the rotor look? In your pic it seems ok but of course I can't see what you can. That was the one that really was the root of my troubles.
You may want to replace...
I'm sorry your issue is proving so elusive.
The more I read about your symptoms and what you have already verified the more strongly I feel you are having the same problem I did in 2019, a bad...
How old is your distributor cap? I had similar problems in 2017, turned out to be a bad cap with hairline cracks allowing moisture to seep in.
Beats the hell out of me. All I know is what I observed no reverse with those two issues and now that I fixed them I have reverse. I think I will call it a miracle.
Doing a thread resurrection here, I finally solved my no reverse problem and it (thankfully) turned out to be a simple fix. I was changing my leaky pan gasket when I noticed a stubby hose and a thin...
Happy to help!
That is a vacuum hose, connects to the hot water control valve, this thing https://store.delorean.com/hot-water-valve-aftermarket.html
Super! Thank you much, alright back to rocker arms.
Quick question and I'm done, what weight of VR-1 are you running? I'm also not trying to overtake this discussion with engine oil talk.
First off, congratulations for getting the manifolds out, I loathed that job.
Next, does your car have to pass emissions tests where you live? I would check but looking at what you removed the...
Replaced the lower ball stud mounting brackets for the doors.68132
Initially the passenger side looked worse that the driver's (oddly) but after removing them it's clear how bent both were.
Road salt and I are very well acquainted from living in Upstate NY; my car was originally sold in Vermont and then spent two decades in Massachusetts. At least the dash and binnacle don't crack under...
