The ones that came to mind:
DeLorean (ha)
Peugeot 405 T16 (1993-1995)
Peugeot 406 V6 (2002, has the more powerful V6, but the better looking old body)
BMW M5 Sedan (2001-2003)
Out of reach:
Lamborghini Countach QV
Ferrari 308 QV
And in addition to all of the above, just about any US made car from before 73 with a V8...

My Wife inherited a 72 powder blue Pantera with 54k miles on it. Her dad had it since new and was a commercial fisherman that was only home a few months out of the year. The thing was awesome but there was just no room in it. You have to be like 5' 8" and under to drive it. We sold it a few years ago.

That's good advice Dave. Probably the single biggest thing I wish I would have heard when I bought my D. My car is rock solid now, albeit there'll always be a to-do list and lots of cosmetic stuff. To give you a (scary) idea, I recently made one extra formula in the almighty master DeLorean spreadsheet I have: total dollars spent divided by number of miles driven since purchase. And I'm north of 13 bucks per mile. The number goes down every drive I take, but year one was painful.
Hey Louie, ya know after what you said about the 20/30 year part, I looked another car up that always caught my eye but would likely fall under Dave's advice: an early 90's BMW 8-series. You can buy a 12 cylinder 850Ci for about 10-12k. Just don't have a heart attack when stuff starts to break.

my first car was an '86 Jaguar XJS V-12. mechanics didnt like messing with the engine because it literally filled the engine bay with no room to spare:

I just want a Delorean, heck I would love just once to sit in a BTTF Delorean, I have sat in a Delorean with so much pressure due to the owners that only let me sit on the edge of the seat and don't touch the doors or anything which is sad because my whole life is Deloreans and I have a huge amount of respect for the Automobile, but.. it's okay at least I got to kinda sit on one, but my dream is to sit in a BTTF modified Delorean and close the door even for a few seconds. but I wish I could own one someday but I never will..I don't have that kind of luck..
