It's been a while....what's good in the Delorean suspension world?

2072 needs new shocks....and the threads I can find here about suspension are all several years old.

What do you have? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Was it economical?

Currently I have some from Hervey, and I will not be buying from him again. He does not stand behind his product and hasn't since the day they were first installed and started failing a few months later.

I'm looking at DPI, Delorean.com, and whatever else I can find.

Most of my suspension is in fairly good shape - No rust on the LCAs or anything like that. I have some lowering springs purchased from DMCH, which are also in fairly good shape.

Thanks for any advice/opinions/product reviews!

I currently have lowering springs. Will the stock Girlings ($75 a pair is hard to beat) be okay with the lowering springs, or do I need to purchase a "performance" shock of some sort?

I don't particularly drive my Delorean fast or hard, or want a super stiff ride.

What are the pros and cons of the "stock" setup versus a higher end one?

I'm not sure about the ride that the original Girlings provide, but I have DMC's performance shocks and can tell you that I'm really happy with them. My favorite feature is a damper adjustment dial on all 4 shocks that allow you to customize how stiff or soft you want the ride.

I decided to purchase DMC's "performance" shocks. If I don't like them, I'll just resell them and try the next thing.....
