    Which Tires To Buy

    Hi all,

I've been told I need size 195/60R14 (front) and 235/60R15 (rear).

Does anyone make matching tires? Any recommendations I can buy today?

    Thanks,

    Antonio

Hankook are the only matching sizes you'll find in the US.

The Hankooks seem really nice. I just got the fronts done and plan to get the rears done but they're back-ordered on Tire Rack. So if you want a full set, order accordingly.

I got about 500 miles on mine. They are the best tires I think I ever had(on the DeLorean) and I had Pilots at one time.

The Pilots were really nice. That's what I'm coming from. I hate to get rid of them since they have less than 20k miles on them but they're from 2005 and past the age I should be driving on them. I'm sad to see them go, but your endorsement of the Hankooks gets me excited to get the rears put on when they're in stock again.

I waited about 2 years hoping a matching set without come to market, before I finally bought the mismatched, but proper size coopers. I think the Hankooks came out a week later. 😂

    +1

I came off of (very) old Michelin Pilots, same as Michael, moving to the Hankooks about 6 months ago. Besides the fact they are new, are the OE sizes and they match F/R I'm very happy with the ride and the (lower) noise level.

Per my review linked here and in Mr Chocky's post, Hankook Kinergy buyers with Ds should have a plan for dealing with the raised white letters on one side of the rear tires. Show the rear RWLs off (mounted outboard), hide them (mounted inboard) or mask them with proper tire paint (with them mounted inboard) as detailed in Post #10 of that review thread. I know the rear RWL detail sorta makes this set "mismatched". The black tire paint fixed that quite easily.

I'm going to replace mine in the near future. (If I ever get the car running right) In my research, I found that you can get one size bigger than stock on both front and back in BF Goodrich. The one size bigger in the rear is zero issue and the one size bigger in front has minor issues. (Rubing full turn and speedometer error) I will probably go this route.

I purchased my complete set of Hankook Kinergy tires from https://www.performanceplustire.com last year. Keep an eye on their site for availability as well.

I also have the Hankook Kinergy tires and I'm very happy with them.
