    DeLorean at SEMA

A friend shot this photo at SEMA in Las Vegas. Can anyone shed any light on this car? Not what I would want but to each their own, I guess.

A guy in Japan did something similar a year ago. I'm guessing that is where the designer of this car was inspired from (or vice versa). This one is documented on a youtube's channel...

I was following that build on youtube... I think the goal was 1000hp with the twin turbo LS setup. Not sure if it's actually running yet.

I'm not sure how I feel about the aesthetic they went with, but I can respect the work that went into the build so far. The car was previously painted and looking pretty rough when they got it, so at least it's getting some attention.

If they wrapped the fender flares with brushed metal vinyl, or fabricated some flares out of SS I think it would look much better than black.

These were the renderings they started with, so it looks like they were able to build something pretty true to the original vision.

That car is garbage except for the glass louvers. I’ve always thought that glass louvers would be a cool update.

I have the very same thoughts! If the materials used for the louvres don't discolor from sun exposure I like them as well.

Likewise. But you have to have some nice eye candy under them to show off to look great. My car's engine would be a very bad example for glass louvers :-)

It's not even the style really - it's just a shoddy job.

Is it only me that thinks the wheels look stupid with almost no tire? The flares don’t look bad in the renderings, but that original post pic looks terrible to me.
