As you may have guessed we have been taking a break from working on the car. Summers are just too short here in Maine.

    Public Service Announcement-

If anyone is going to be in Maine and would like to stop in to say hi in person please contact me in advance!

Yesterday someone stopped in to our shop with no advance notice.
My wife was at the shop while I happened to be 4 hours away. I have no idea who this person is or how he knows me. He led my wife to believe we were great friends.
I never told anyone our address so this person must have somehow figured it out.
    This is not cool!
If you want to visit please contact me in advance.
At this point I still don't know who this person was other than what he told Tam "Tom that lives in Ohio and used to live in Maine". Kind of freaky.
I'm hoping this is someone that has talked to me on here or on FB and not someone casing out my shop or some pervert weirdo. Tam ended up giving him the tour of the shop and showed him the car.

I have considered taking down this entire restoration thread now.
    Ugh....

Weird, I don?t blame you. Your wife couldn?t call you? I bet she does next time. I hope he wasn?t trying scope it out for no good. Hopefully, it?s just someone you forgot. Is it no chance to be one of those prisoners you help?

She was trying to not bug me because I was visiting my dying grandmother at the time.
I'm confident it was someone from the Delorean community I just don't know who or why they'd stop by without letting me know.

There are no "Toms" in the DeLorean Club of Ohio. We are all currently non-creepers. :-)

Figured it out Tom Barlion or something like that. My wife figured it out. Turns out he knows some local people that we also know etc so nothing weird. Just would have liked to have a heads up.

Yeah that's a little scary to just have someone show up like that without a heads up first. It sounds like intentions were good at least. Hope it doesn't put too much of a damper on things for you guys.

Trying to get motivated to jump back into this project. Worked on our list of materials for an hour or more. I ordered some larger items that don't qualify for free shipping so the shipping was rough. I did find however that the more large items I added the better the deal. So I just went for it. This should be almost everything we need to finish the car.

For what it's worth, when you order stuff from DMC Houston I've always found it cheaper to call with part numbers or even better send over an email to the parts department. The automated website ordering system they use will calculate shipping to be very very expensive. If you do it over the phone or via email they can calculate shipping and it is often much cheaper.

The parts from DMCH showed up today. No time to take much of a look. It's 90 degrees out and I own an air conditioning repair and installation company.
