Update on my health stuff for any that may be interested-
I'm still taking anti-depression/anti-anxiety medication, and I am taking one Primidone pill a day for my tremors and stiffness. My brain seems to have adjusted to the Primidone. It was highly effective in the beginning, but now, two weeks later, the tremors are back, as well as muscle stiffness. It's not nearly as bad as before, though.
I'm holding out hope that I don't have P.D. I just had blood drawn today so that I can have a panel of tick borne diseases tested for.
It's surprising how much work I can still do on the car, even with my left hand, not really working correctly.
What I am finding happens is I can do an action slowly one or two times with my left hand or arm, but if I try to quickly or repeatedly do something, I seize up.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a cold rainy day so after a 2 mile walk in the rain we went and worked on the car for 7 hours. I wish I could say we got a lot done but it was one of those times where everything seemed to take forever.
We started with trying to put the washer tank back in the car.
We put dielectric grease on all of the plug connectors and plugged the harnesses together.
It was kind of a pain trying to get the wires and washer tube to stay in the right place as we put the tank back in.

    The dogs weren't much help.

I had forgotten that I had one rivnut that I wasn't able to replace. Oh well, pressing on.
Tam put the cover in place with the custom aluminum backer plate I had made. I accidentally double ordered black plastic screws for the access covers in the fronk so I decided to use some for the washer cover. I figured it would be a good choice. They'll never rust, they'll never seize into the rivnuts, and if for some reason I need to drill one out they'll drill out easy.
Tam was installing the screws. I warned her to not over-tighten. The next thing you know I hear "snap" and yelling from under the car. Tam had snapped one of the screws off.
I spent the next hour and a half trying to extract the broken off screw. I tried every trick I could think of. I finally just ended up taking the cover back off, I ground off the rivnut, then installed a new rivnut.

I walked to the hardware store and bought some M5 screws. Everything got put back together with anti-seize on the screws.

It's blurry in this picture but I ended up screwing a stainless steel self-tapping screw next to the rivnut that I couldn't replace.

We moved on to the speedometer cable next. I had purchased a new nut, a one piece cable from the angle drive to the cluster, and drive cup.

Sorry, no pics of the completed install. Pretty straightforward. Basically, you just remove the Lambada counter and mounting bracket and install the new one-piece cable.

We talked about what to do next. We have been avoiding the elephant in the room for so long....we needed to remove the HVAC box and replace the heater core and evap coil. So I started by unbolting and unplugging things under the passenger dash.

Next I moved over to the passenger side. I have a new bushing for the steering column so I removed it.
The dogs kept trying to jump up into the car so Tam set them up in it. They ended up laying on me then falling asleep.

Steering wheel/column removed, binnacle removed, back destroyed, I was done for the day.

Update on health stuff. I had labs drawn for more in depth testing for Lyme (tick) disease. I know several people that have had weird symptoms similar to mine and they later found out it was a tick borne illness. Some of the results are not back yet but I did get one positive for something that indicates that I had Lyme in the past and my body fought it off. There is a chance it is still causing issue so my doctor has me taking Doxycycline (sp?).
I feel like the P.T. twice a week, exercising, the Primidone, and people praying for me all seem to be helping. It almost felt like the "good Ole days" when I worked on the car yesterday.
This is a picture from our morning run today. Full disclosure- everyone else ran 7 miles, I walked/jogged 3 miles. I have to "Make" my left arm and left leg/foot work but I'm happy to be out there moving still. No more 7 minute miles for me anymore .
