Update from the DCS Planning Team ...
Without knowing when the current pandemic will transition to an endemic phase,
we do not anticipate planning, scheduling and running a “full” DCS anytime soon.
The planning process is almost always on-going, and I was just corresponding
yesterday with the folks we were working with, for the postponed DCS 2020 event.
However, we have been working on a possible DCS Lite event (in August 2022) with
a few members of a couple of DeLorean clubs in the Great Lakes region.
We sent out VIP Guest “invitations” last month and the planning team is waiting for
all the RSVP’s prior to committing to moving forward with more formal plans. During
the wait, we are also getting some details from the other DeLorean clubs regarding
a few of the local area locations that might be visited during the DCS Lite event.
So, if there are folks attempting to plan for a possible DCS Lite event this Summer,
the most likely time-frame would be between August 18 - August 21, if it happens.
More details to follow, but the event will not be finalized until Spring, if it happens.

Happy 4th of July, Rich! Being that August is just around the corner, I was wondering if you could share an update on a possible DCS 2022 event. I didn’t get to make it last year and would love to join this year if plans are somewhere in the works. Thanks!Originally Posted by Rich W

I would consider hosting a DCS Lite type event next year, on the west coast if anyone is interested.

While it is looking unlikely that a DCS Lite 2022 will happen this August,
there will be two DeLorean Gatherings paired up with car show events
that will occur a week apart, both of them in the State of Michigan.
Patrick Conlon will be hosting a Summer Driving Tour (rather than Fall),
which will occur between August 11 and August 14. The car show it will
be paired up with is the Harbor Springs Car Show, with the DeLorean as
the Feature Marque, followed by a driving tour of the U.P. of Michigan.
Byron Cancelmo and the DeLorean Motor City club will be participating
in the Woodward Dream Cruise, with another 50,000+ vehicles, driving
up and down Woodward Avenue, from the Detroit area to Pontiac, MI.
Although we hoped to have DCS Lite at Woodward, we “ran out of time”.
Zach DeLorean had hoped to join us at Woodward, but he had to decline
due to a scheduling conflict that he could not overcome. Several other
VIPs were also unable to attend mid-August, so DCS 2022 was deferred
until a later date this Fall or it may be postponed until 2023.
We encourage DeLorean owners, fans and enthusiasts to attend one or
both of these events in Michigan next month, since we will most likely
have a few DMC VIPs attending both events (such as the QAC POGs),
especially since most of the MI based POGs are all officially retired now.
The DeLorean Midwest Connection club members plan to attend one or
both of these events, and we hope to see you next month in Michigan.
