Soon in the Auction (Start July 15): The Delorean of Emmy Award Winner Steve Pepoon!

What can I say? This DeLorean DMC-12 is an original US Movie Car with a very special history... a true collector car:

Until August 20, 2013, the car belonged to Steve Pepoon, an American screenwriter and producer of the series "Alf" and "The Simpsons", for which he received the Emmy Award in 1991. Back in the 90's Steve lent the car to film crews e.g. for episode 1.18 of the series "Eerie Indiana" (1991-1992). Since he didn't want any money for it, they thanked him by mentioning him by name in the series, e.g.: "Where did you get this car from? I got it from Steve!”

In 2013 Steve Pepoon made a YouTube video (https://bit.ly/3OC3VQa) in which he shows the car and also takes it for a test drive. The bodywork is absolutely flawless on the outside, inside the vehicle is in unrestored original condition. It comes with the original papers showing Steve Pepoon as owner, the original car cover, the repair manual and all invoices. This DeLorean was never registered in Germany, it was the entire time in a garage with underfloor heating.

The vehicle is currently located in Germany in the Rhine-Main area and will be in a worldwide online auction at Bonhams next week, starting on July 15th.

This is the link to the auction: https://bit.ly/3OTpZ9f.

    Good luck bidding!

How does any of this provenance make it a movie car?

You can watch it for example in this scene of Episode 1.18 in Eerie Indiana:

    Semantics

Technically it is a "TV Car". But... Eerie, Indiana is listed on www.imdb.com site (internet movie data base)

My car was on Good Morning America twice, does that make it a TV car? It has also been in a few commercials and rap videos, does that make it worth more too?

I do agree with others... While it was in an episode of a TV show, what makes this car special? It wasn't owned by a celebrity nor was the car the star of anything as it was a cool background effect.

While all DeLoreans are special in their own right, this is just another DMC.
