VIN 6083 - Canadian Cold Weather/Kap Test Car

    Hello Everyone!

I recently signed the papers for the manual cold weather test / Kaptest car. Once Justin over at Wells Auto finishes some inspections and a few small repairs it will be enroute to Alberta!
The overall car is in amazing shape (with only 27K miles) and has been regrained by Chris Nicholson.

The car was featured in Autostrada in September 2023 along with its automatic counterpart that also underwent testing. I'm hoping I'm able to find more pictures/documentation from its time in Kapuskasing.

After ~25 years a dream has been fulfilled!

    Welcome to the club!

I was not aware of any DeLoreans tested for cold conditions. Interesting

    Congrats on your car!

I apologize for not responding earlier to your message about the documentation for this VIN. You found my post from September 15th, 2013 where I mentioned meeting an owner and he had been the previous caretaker of your car. I looked back at my notes trying to figure out who this might have been and what I can tell you is that it would have been someone that came up to me/us while we were at British Car Day in Oakville. 2013 was when we had 32 DeLoreans there, which is and was the record for most DeLoreans at this show (any show in Canada for that matter).

Unfortunately, I don't know who this person was and I don't have a name or photo to help you. Perhaps someone else that was there that day might see this and chime in. Justin is probably the best bet to ask though as I'm sure if someone truly was the previous owner/caretaker of this Cold Weather Test Car, then he would likely know about him. Good luck!!
