My Latest Film - SKYWALKERS: A LOVE STORY - July 12th on IMAX Screens

    Hey All,

My latest film is releasing next weekend July 12th for a special limited one week IMAX run before it premieres on Netflix on July 19th. Part romance, part thriller, this film follows a daredevil couple as they take their relationship to terrifying new heights in a wild scheme to climb the world's second-highest skyscraper and perform a death-defying stunt on the spire. Think FREE SOLO meets MAN ON WIRE.

For all you adrenaline junkies, watch your step and hold on tight. #SkywalkersLoveStory ascends into breathtaking IMAX starting July 12 for one week only. Tickets available now.

See theaters and cities here along with tickets on sale now: www.imax.com/skywalkers

    Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAQGCZ5oE58

Please spread the word as this film is INSANE to watch on an IMAX screen. For those not in markets for IMAX, you'll also love seeing this on Netflix, so please show me some love DeLorean community and check out my film.

Have a great 4th weekend everyone!

    Best,
    Tamir

Sounds very interesting. At first I thought it was going to be a Luke and Leia "what if?" story.

I canceled my Netflix long ago and will never go back. Any chance it will be on Prime or for rent on a on demand cable service?

Yeah, we've been getting a lot of funny comments about the title and Star Wars. Totally unintentional, but hopefully it brings more eyes to it, ha.

If no Netflix on your end, then I see a road trip in your future next weekend to the closest IMAX screen to see this sucker in that bad ass format.

Congrats, Tamir. Man on Wire was great (and The Walk, by Robert Zemeckis). Will check this out in IMAX.

Thanks. And you are here in Los Angeles, which means you can see it at TCL, an amazing theater. I will be there with a bunch of the crew this Friday July 12th for the 7:20PM show. If you are there please say Hi.

For anyone in Chicago area, I'll be at the July 13th show at 7:05PM for anyone that wants to see it in IMAX and say Hi to me at the theater.

    Hi Tamir,
Thanks for this announcement. Nice to know what you?ve been up to. Looks like another great film of yours. Congrats.
No IMAX action here so Netflix will have to do but I?ll let my Sacramento family members know about their local IMAX opportunity.

This is cool, Tamir. I love both Man on Wire and Free Solo and used to watch Ally Law roof-topping videos until they got too crazy for me. I didn't see the film specs on IMDB. I'm guessing that you didn't shoot this on 70mm IMAX film, and I'm guessing that you had to use a variety of cameras from GoPros on up. I'm very interested in technical details of filmmaking. Can you point me to any details, or would you mind summarizing here? Thanks, congrats, and best of luck!

Appreciate you spreading the word to folks you know in parts of the Country where this will be playing in IMAX. And watch on the biggest at home system you have on July 19th!

Correct, this wasn't shot with IMAX specific cameras, there were about 9 different style cameras used to shoot this, ranging from C300's to gopro's, drones, and law enforcement style night vision. All spanning 6 years of evolving tech. It all converted quite nicely to the IMAX spec with the uprez process and grain we applied.

Hope you get to see it in IMAX and then on Netflix again multiple times.
