This is an exceptional vehicle. I purchased the car in 2009 from the original owner that lived in Atlanta. The odometer at the time of purchase was 22,977. He purchased the car brand new in 1982 from a dealership in Chanblee, GA.
This car is in excellent condition, solid and extremely clean. It is not perfect but is one of the finest examples anywhere. I have included many photos to show just how nice this vehicle is.
When I purchased the vehicle from the original owner, he included all the original owners manual booklet and brochures, the purchase paperwork and maintenance paperwork. I will include all of those documents at the time of purchase. He told me that he always kept it in a climate controlled garage and always drove it at least once a month to keep it in tip top condition. He also advised me that the car had never been driven it in the rain. He wanted to keep the car as nice and as close to original as possible. He considered himself a ?fanatic? about the vehicle. He was retiring and he said it was time for someone else to own it, someone who cared about the Delorean as he did.
A few months before I purchased the car from him he had the following updates performed:
New fuel accumulator, battery, headliners throughout, O2 sensor, A/C Hoses front and back, A/C compressor, fuel send unit, transmission cooler lines, gasket and screen, right rear break line, rebuilt rear break calipers, break pads front and back, steering column bushing, antenna mask, water premature switch, cooling fan switch, relay update kit, all door struts, hood struts and louver struts.
As stated, I purchased the vehicle from him in 2009. I have continued the original owners care and enthusiasm as I also have kept it in a climate controlled garage and kept it in tip top shape. As of this day, it still has not been driven in the rain. In 2011, the mileage was 23,968 and I had the car transported from my home in South Carolina directly to Delorean Motor Company and had the following updates completed:

Known issues: The vehicle runs and drives like a dream however if the vehicle has not been driven in a while, it can take a few turns of the key to get it started when its cold. This can likely be remedied by a idle mixture adjustment. The radio antenna does not go up and is in the down position. I have not had an opportunity to address it. However the original radio still works but cannot get a signal from the antenna. There are the rare and minor drops of fluid from time to time from some of the original seals. The Fuel indicator inside the binnacle sometimes gets stuck in the down position when the vehicle first starts but with a few taps will become unstuck and indicate the correct fuel level. The passenger side lower window has a few scratches, which does not affect glass in any way.
This vehicle has had nearly $20,000 in updates since I purchased it. I will also include the maintenance paperwork that I have for the updates I had done.
The glove box cover is signed by Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown), James Tolkan (Mr. Strickland) and Lea Thompson (Lorraine) from Back to the Future. I have photo proof showing me with these celebrities confirming that these signatures were obtained in person, by me. They can be removed from the cover should the new owner chose to remove them.
Lastly, and very important, in my opinion, the vehicle doesn't need it to be re-grained unless the new owner desires it as there are a few micro dings however the stainless steel panels of the car are nearly flawless. Some of the pictures really show the stainless steel better in some areas but as with all pictures, it depends on the lighting. I can provide additional photos.
