Hey guys,
I wanted to post a few photos of my newly refinished dash by David Hudgins. We both live in Kansas City so I have had the chance to follow his progress as he develops a method for recovering a dash as well as the rear speaker panels. My dash had a crack in it under the VIN plate downward to the binnacle so I decided it was time to let him have a shot at it. I got it back last week and installed over the weekend - it is stunning! The vinyl he found is a special type of thermoform-able automotive trim which he forms with heat and a vacuum table. The end result is a truly professional job with no wrinkling, waviness, or defects. He can do the dash in gray or black. Actually he can probably do any color you want! He's on dmctalk so if you want to inquire about your own parts for restoration, you can message him.
