So, a little backstory- the other month my friend calls me up, says hey, I need you to go check out this Delorean. The current owner (the former owners widow) had been referred to him, and he referred her to me. The car has been sitting for three years (reportedly, but hasn't been registered in almost 11 years) since her husband had died and she wanted to bring it back to driving condition. It had been parked a mix of inside and outside, and was in generally unknown condition ("ran when parked").
She had just had the ignition rekeyed, and new tires installed.
I go check it out, and I am happy to offer my help to bring it back to the road. Doesn't seem to need anything crazy, just a full refreshing tuneup. We'll see. It still had the original fuel lines, but a stainless coolant tank, and Herveys stainless with a window airbox. Unknown when or if ever calipers have been rebuilt, but it's got new brake hoses up front, and the LCAs are super clean. Zero frame rust. (Location is Las Vegas, so I would actually have been very surprised to find any rust).
May 81, Vin 1362. Black interior, 5 speed, gas flap hood. Exterior is clean (just filthy, haha) glass is good, interior is pretty worn out. Looks like a car that has been sitting for years, but will clean up nicely.

I explain to her my offer to help. Labor and brains only, she supplies all parts, and I do it on my free time. She had it towed to my house, and I coordinated a list of tasks and a parts shopping list/order to get it all from Chris Miles.
The purpose of this thread is just to share some pictures and info,
First things first, intake manifold off. The VOD was surprisingly clean. At some point it's been off, but the entire history of every part is unknown.
I replaced the clutch slave, cap and rotor, hot water valve, and remove the water pump. I flooded the valley with water to displace all the old coolant and junk in there, and shop vac it out, and replaced the plugs and plug wires.

This week coming up, I'm going to replace the fuel filter, flush the clutch fluid, install silicone vacuum lines, install the the water pump, replace the injectors and install the new fuel lines, and reinstall the intake manifold.
Next maintenance on deck after that will be to have the fuel mixture control unit and WUR rebuilt, replace the accumulator, clean out the tank and replace the pump and sender.
Then, some fresh fuel and it should be ready to crank. If indicated, we will replace the clutch master (the slave was done "while I'm in there" out of conveniences sake). I'll see how the brakes behave and repair as required.
Other tuneup parts required:
Air filter (missing)
Belts (ancient)
Engine oil
Gear oil
Steering column bushing (missing)
Struts
Wiper blades
Relays/fuses (all original, will get Dave Mckeens)
Angle drive bracket (missing)
Wheel bearings?
Digital lock controller?
I will post updates in this thread. Any input is welcome.
